Caine Ordo History and Associates

Caine Ordo Background

Caine Ordo was raised and trained among the Mandalorians of Clan Ordo. Descended from a long line of Mandalorian warriors the young Caine was destined to be a soldier from birth. Caine was a young warrior in his early twenties when a series of scattered skirmishes transformed into an all out war between the Mandalorian Clans and a confederation of pirate fleets. Caine spent years fighting in that conflict, spending most of his time fighting in the void. These battles gave Caine a great deal of experience fighting in hard vacuum and zero gravity environments. Over time Caine rose from a green youngblood warrior to a battle-hardened veteran and assault squad leader with a number of notable kills to his name. Eventually the war petered out leaving the now embittered and nihilistic Caine feeling restless and angry. After a few years trying to fit back into a largely peace-time existence Caine decided he could not sit around any longer and left his clan for the life of an itinerant mercenary. Although Caine Ordo still follows the codes of Mandalorian honor instilled in him from his youth he is generally not interested or concerned with who hires him or what the job requires him to do so long as the pay is good. Caine is even willing to take on a little light piracy so long as it does not harm the Mandalorians or profit the Dread Fleet.

Caine Ordo is willing to remove his helmet from time to time but he rarely does so. His armor is a second-skin and he feels naked without it. Thanks to his experiences in the void war Caine's armor is customized with vacuum seals and environmental protection systems against both extreme heat and extreme cold, the armor able to regulate it's internal temperature regardless of the external environmental conditions and features a ten hour air supply. Caine is thus perfectly happy standing watch in the toxic swamps of Nal Hutta as he is the scorching deserts of Tatooine or the frozen wastes of Hoth, it's all the same to the veteran Mandalorian. Because of the environmental systems built into his armor Caine's gear does not feature quite as many inbuilt weapons as some of his peers but they do feature a microtized flamethrower built into his left gauntlet and a microtized grenade launcher built into his right gauntlet. Caine carries a selection of grenades for use with his launcher, a combat knife, heavy blaster pistol and a blaster carbine. Though many Mandalorians prefer to wield dual blaster pistols the void-veteran prefers a robust and reliable rifle over the pistol-slinging antics of many of his peers and keeps a pistol as a backup rather than as a primary weapon.

Caine Ordo's armor is a hodge-podge mix of different makes and styles combined over years of battlefield salvage and field repair during the war. Pieces taken from fallen comrades to replace damaged plates or add more protection to his existing kit. Most of his suit is dark gray or silver over a dark bodysuit, a tattered weather cloak hangs over one shoulder and a compact jetpack is mounted to the backplate of the armor. White jaig eyes mark Caine's helmet, a white mythosaur skull icon is emblazoned on his right shoulder and his chest plate features a khaleesh mask with a pair of curved swords crossing through it.

Caine Ordo Associates List

Allies

Del'os Ordo

-The armorer of Clan Ordo, Del'os is an old and highly respected warrior but revered as a master artisan whose craftsmanship with the rare beskar ore is almost without equal.

Felix Ordo

-Training sergeant of Clan Ordo, Felix has taught hundreds of young warriors over his lifetime. He is fond of the impetuous and scrappy Caine whom he views as one of his best students who has unfortunately wandered away from his true purpose.

Xavier Ordo

-One of Clan Ordo's best warriors and hunters and an old friend of Caine's.

Soren Fett

-An old war buddy of Caine's, soren is a friendly and charismatic warrior who seems to have friends and associates wherever he goes, the kind of man who has a girl in every port and a fence in every city.

Shaida Ash'ad

-Formerly betrothed to Caine in an arranged marriage negotated by their respective clans when they were children the war against the pirate fleets disrupted that arrangement and it was ultimately dissolved. Though never truly a couple the two warriors are childhood friends and firm allies to this day.

Neutral

Davos Cadera

-A former comrade of Caine's from the pirate war Davos is a respected warrior but though friendly with Caine the two were never particularly close and though they maintain somewhat regular contact their discussions are largely business focused and Caine does not count Davos among his allies.

Jekiah Werda

-A respected bounty hunter among the Mandalorian clans, Jekiah helped Caine get started as a gun for hire after the war but the two had something of a falling out over a job that went south. Not enemies but not exactly friends either.

Kador Wren

-A goon pure and simple, Kador's loyalty goes to whoever pays him the most. He was an associate of Caine's when he worked with Jekiah but the two have had little contact since.

Tigrus Varad

-One of the best warriors in the Mandalorian Clans and boy does he know it. There are few egos that can match Tigrus' but to be fair his abilities more than justify his confidence. Bold and flashy Tigrus is a legendary gun for hire but while he used to take on any job for any employer who could afford him age and boredom have taken their tole and now Tigrus only really takes jobs that intrigue or excite him in some way.

Enemies

Lucien Ha'rangir

-Caine has spared little breath condemning Clan Ha'rangir as a bunch of effete, lazy, incompetent and honorless braggarts whose existence is a disgrace to the Mandalorians. None draw that ire more than Lucien Ha'rangir, the current de facto clan leader after the mysterious disappearance of his predecessor who is missing, presumed dead.

Garion Ha'rangir

-Eldest son of Lucien Ha'rangir and heir apparent to the leadership of the clan Garion has benefited from the best weapons, the best armor and the best training that money can buy. No expense has been spared on his personal equipment and the resources at his disposal are considerable. Despite this his accomplishments are fairly modest considering the enormous advantage he possesses. Although he has gained a decent reputation as the leader of a for hire mercenary company his victories are not all that glorious considering the number of warriors under his command and the firepower they possess. Caine obviously hates Garion with a fiery passion.

Argus Saxon

-A murderous brute if ever there was one. Even during the war with the pirates Argus was known for excessive violence and unnecessary bloodshed. When a warrior is giving Mandalorians pause for his propensity for violence and brutality that is saying something. Caine fought alongside him several times before they came to blows over Argus' behavior in battle. The two were reassigned to different units and have avoided each other ever since.

Thane Viszla

-Most Mandalorians are willing to kill for money. Between wars an honest and peaceful living is hard to come by for a people whose very existence is steeped in war. Even so most Mandalorians do not lower themselves to what could be described as simple assassination. Honorable bounty hunting for legal authorities is one thing, but contract killing is something else entirely. Among the Mandalorian clans there are few who have fallen so low as Thane Viszla, a warrior who has spent decades racking up an impressive if horrifying tally of murder.

Ordis Kast

-An unusual type for a Mandalorian, Ordis Kast is best known for his abilities as a spy and a corporate intelligence operative. Rumors persist that he has recently taken on contracts for Czerka though what they are having him do or why they wanted a Mandalorian remain unknown.
