RPG Disaster Story: GM Torpedoes Star Wars Saga Game out of Spite    This story starts like a lot of RPG horror stories in that I got drawn into tabletop games over COVID lockdowns. From the first game I met some more players who introduced me to other players and eventually I was invited to join a game of Star Wars Saga Edition. Based on DND 3rd edition the game was similar to the 5th Edition rules I had already learned but a bit different and obviously with a star wars coat of paint. I thought this would be cool and the DM was a friend of a friend I had met online through several DND groups and I figured this would be worth a shot.  The game starts out alright, we have three fairly active players and one more passive player who is just along for the ride. The game is set after Order 66 but before A New Hope and my character was a Jedi Temple Guard who had survived the clone wars and gone into hiding. The other two active players were a commando battle droid and a ...

Terminator Armor Variants Explained

Terminator Armor Variants Explained   Developed for the legiones astartes during the Great Crusade the tactical dreadnought armor, otherwise known as terminator armor, is the ultimate in personal armored protection. From the earliest saturnine armor to the later advancements of cataphractii and tartaros patterns the Imperium iterated on the basic concept of a "heavy" type of power armor repeatedly and the results would carve a brutal legacy across the battlefields of the thirtieth to the forty second millennium.  Saturnine Terminator Armor -Widely believed to be the earliest variation of terminator armor likely drawn from ancient examples of suits recovered during the wars of unity saturnine armor is closer to a walking tank than a suit of armor. The space marine within the armor requires significant cybernetic augmentation to integrate with and pilot the armor which enhances the already formidable size of a space marine to an extreme degree and even come close to matchi...

Lost and Forbidden Technologies of the Legiones Astartes

Lost and Forbidden Technologies of the Legiones Astartes   Introduction    Much has been written about all the many achievements of the Great Crusade, the magnificent fleets, glorious monuments, great battles and the mighty heroes who won them. Yet the uglier aspects of the Great Crusade are often overlooked or intentionally erased. Civilizations annihilated, vast archives of history and culture burned, species rendered extinct and whole worlds wiped clean of life. The Great Crusade saw weapons unleashed on the galaxy that had not been used since the start of Old Night and the collapse of the ancient human galactic civilization. Many of the worst of these weapons were commonplace on Terra before the Emperor launched his Unification Wars, genetically modified killing machines, archaeotech weapons of unbelievable destructive power, rad-weapons, genophages, warp and temporal distorting weapons, the nightmares of Old Night were truly beyond the comprehension of most mor...

Index Astartes: Deathsworn Founding: Ultima Founding Homeworld: Celestia Tertius-Sigma Fortress Monastery: The Jarlhalle (Vigilant Station) Origins The Deathsworn are one of a handful of known Ultima Founding successors of the Space Wolves chapter. Unlike most Ultima founding chapters however the Deathsworn are rumored to have been founded around a cadre of veteran firstborn sons of Russ. Where these warriors came from or how they came to be absorbed into a new primaris chapter are secrets closely guarded by the Deathsworn themselves. Some stories contend that the chapter's founders must have been a lost company, long isolated from their chapter brothers, while others contend they could have been Deathwatch veterans who were honored for their service with the opportunity to lead a new chapter rather than return to the Space Wolves themselves. Still other rumors suggest warriors displaced in time by the vagaries of warp travel or redeemed former renegades who joined the Lord Comman...
